MICHAEL BALAZS - HEAD COACH

 

Michael enters his 2nd year at the helm of Garden Spot at an overall record of 2-11-4.  Prior to Garden spot, Michael was an assistant varsity coach at Reading High for 2 years obtaining an overall record of 25-14-3  and an assistant at Penn State Berks  where he achieved 6 wins 4 losses and 1 tie in the NEAC NCAA DIVISION 3 conference. Michael has played soccer for many years some notable performances are playing for FC Baia Mare in romania's 3rd division and a playing a year in Romania's Semi Pro indoor Soccer League before pursuing his coaching career. Currently plays for DINAMOSTAR in the US Amatuer Open League along side staff member Cristian Morar.

 

 

 

CRISTIAN MORAR - ASSISTANT COACH / JUNIOR VARSITY HEAD COACH

 

Cristian enters his 2nd year of coaching at Garden Spot as an Assistant Varsity Coach and Junior Varsity Head coach. Prior to Garden Spot, coach Morar coached at Gov Mifflin soccer club where he was the U-9 Boys Head Coach. Cristian has played on numerous travel teams most notable was Romania Soccer Club when he traveled to play in Ireland. Cristian also was a 3 year starter at Alvernia University being one of the leagues elite midfielders. Coach Morar now plays for DINAMOSTAR in the US Amatuer Open League in his spare time.

 

 

 

 

EDUARD TUDOR FOTACHE - ASSISTANT COACH / GOALKEEPER COACH

 

Eduard also enters his 2nd year as Garden Spot's assistant / goalkeeper coach.  Coach Fotache previously coached middle school soccer in Iasi, Romania and also coached at Gov Mifflin. Most notable performance for Eduard was playing for the Romanian National Handball team from 1986 till 1996. It was after he retired from the game of Handball that coach Fotache decided to pursue a career in goalkeeper coaching for soccer. On his spare time Eduard loves to play pick up soccer and soccer tennis.
